The Rev. Joel Q. Ley, Pastor
Pastor Joel Ley was called to serve Christ Lutheran Church in 2005. During his tenure, he served as Dean of the Lower-Columbian Basin Cluster for nine years. He also served a six-year term on the Northwest Intermountain Synod Council. Most recently, he has represented the Synod on regional emergency preparedness and response committees in cooperation with Lutheran Disaster Response.
Prior to his arrival at Christ Lutheran, Pastor Ley was a Lutheran Campus Pastor and parish pastor in Wisconsin, where he volunteered as a police chaplain and as a firefighter. His ministry career was preceded by fifteen years as a civilian employee of the U.S. Navy.
Pastor Ley is a graduate of Washington State University and Wartburg Theological Seminary. His voice can be heard not only from the pulpit at Christ Lutheran, but also on the amateur radio airwaves as AD7HE.
