Pastor Mike Ostrom has been an ordained minister of word and sacrament for more than 36 years. He has served in congregations both large and small as well as in college ministries at large public universities and small liberal arts colleges. Most of his calls have been in the Midwest, beginning in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and then later moving to serve in his home state of Nebraska. His last full-time call brought him on a grand adventure to the Pacific Northwest, first to Corvallis, OR where for 4 years he served as pastor at Luther House Campus Ministry at Oregon State University. He now does interim ministry in the Northwest Intermountain Synod. His work at Christ Lutheran Church is to provide pastoral leadership and care during this time of interim preparation to call a new pastor. Christ Lutheran is a congregation of warmhearted, conscientious, and generous people who have been well-led through the years. His aim is to help the church build upon this strong foundation and continue providing creative, life-giving ministry for years to come.
